I'm 54 years old. My hobbies are fly fishing and bicycling for fitness. I ride 3500+ miles per year. When the weather is favorable, if I am not on my bike, I am on the trout stream. We have two fine trout streams within one hour of my home. If I want to venture further, the Bois Brule and Namekagon are 3-4 hours away. My wife fishes also. She is an excellent caster. She will also join me on a bicycle ride. I grew up in Pennsylvania, was educated in Pa., Mo., and NYC. I have been an Anesthesiologist for the last 20 years. I plan on working 9-10 more years followed by a move to a climate more favorable for year-round fishing and bicycling. My collection of cane includes an Eden Cane 4 weight, a Spring Creek 4 weight by Tom Nigro a 5 weight and a 4 weight quad by Don Schroeder and a 5 weight quad by Chris Carlin. My wife fishes a Bellinger/Santiam 4 weight and 5 weights by Dave Norling and Chris Carlin. When we are not fishing cane, our graphite choices are the Winston WT and BIIx. We have two trips planned this year, one to South Lake Tahoe, California and our yearly trip to Montana.
